Crowther 220 wish bone rig designed performance cruising catamaran.
The structural integrity of a serious blue water catamaran was my first priority when choosing a cruising catamaran.
It was important that the design had windward performance, stability without a hobby horse motion. Good bridge deck clearance, sailed well and was easy to handle.
Comfortable on passage and while at anchor with good head room throughout the boat.
I needed the ability to sail single handed if required which makes this craft easy to handle when sailing.
Crowther designs have a proven history that many others have implemented in the design of catamarans, notably the Catana hulls.
Lock Crowther famed muli-hull designer of Australia. Among his most notable designs were the Bucaneer & Kraken series trimarans, Spindrift 45 & Catana 40 cats, as well as a great number of other cruising, racing, charter/commercial power cats and tris.
