St Barbara was originally built for the Royal Artillery Yacht Club for sail training in the North Atlantic and Europe after this she completed a full circumnavigation. This is a very comfortable and seaworthy yacht with a deep dry cockpit and fitted with a versatile ketch rig.
She is currently in New Zealand after sailing from the UK in Aug 2018. We were hoping to complete our circumnavigation but Covid has made those plans not possible in our time frame.
She’s a beautiful example of a Nicholson & Camper which have a reputation worldwide of being a very solidly build fiberglass yachts
LOA approx : 12.2 m
LWL approx : 10.8 m
Beam approx : 3.6 m

Some of the upgrades from 2018,
All batteries new including an upgraded 660ah house battery bank, 4 Solar panels, Wind generator, 2 inverters + 2 chargers, Iridium Go Sat phone, New Hydrovane self-steering, New Standing rigging + chain plates + mast wiring. New upgraded nav equipment with heaps of backups, LED lights throughout, tonnes of spares!
She does have osmosis which is typical of a yacht of this age so will need some work carried out to rectify it. There are a quite few options to complete this, she is currently at Norsand Boatyard in Whangarei, New Zealand where they specialize in this work and can carry out the complete job within 2 months and return the yacht like new to you with a full 7 year warranty or you can be involved in the works to keep the costs down. Or live with it like a lot of boat do.
Due to the above the price is $120,000NZD – £62,000GBP- $87,000USD which is open to negotiations.
NZ Import Duties are included in the Price.
