£5500 GBP, not 5500USD
We are regrettably selling our beautiful ‘Bacchus’ – a Westerly Cirrus, 22ft sailing yacht. We have owned her for a couple of years, but due to work demands we can’t use her as much as we’d like.
The Westerly Cirrus is a small and popular family cruising yacht. This particular Westerly model has proven to be a successful design and well suited to coastal and island type cruising. ‘Bacchus’ is roomy for her size and very comfortable for 4 people on board. Capable of a wide range of adventures depending on your sailing style she would make a great first stepping stone for someone looking to get into cruising.
Currently Moored: Lake Windermere, Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria. She currently occupies an enviable mooring close to the National Trust dinghy park and car park.
Bacchus is a John Butler designed Westerly yacht, the Cirrus model sold 398 yachts between 1968 and 1973. This “Little Boat” is roomy, boasting 3 x 6’3”berths (with additional child size berth) with separate heads and a functional galley. She is sea worthy and easy to handle. This model is in pretty good condition for her years and has, within the last year had all the cushions inside replaced by “Goacher Sails”. She has had the headlining replaced and had a new “Lazy bag” and “boom tent” specifically designed and also made by “Goacher Sails”.
